Modernisation Strategy - Update May 2010
The contractor - Apollo Group succesfully installed the pod flats to Daley & Weedon House.
Apollo have a Resident Liaison Officer, Leanne Quatromini who is available on 07786 666402, who can answer questions or queries that you may have. Please note that Leanne is not permanently based on site, but she can be contact via the above mobile. In addition Doreen Carter or Mary Keegan at Ducane Housing Association can also answer any questions.
Moving Tenants
As the programme rolls out, tenants in the Bison blocks will be asked to move to another flat, to allow the builders in their old one to put in new baths, kitchens, windows and better heating and insulation.
Crime
Tenant, please be aware that there has been a recent bout of bikes being stolen from the Ducane Estate. Please ensure you secure your bike properly. If you have your bike stolen, please inform the Police immediately.

New Electricity Meters
Shortly, Ducane plans to have the old electricity meters removed in the Bison blocks and replaced with key meters, which are pay as you go meters which can be topped up at local shops, petrol stations etc.
The New Regulatory Framework
The regulator (which used to be the Housing Corporation) and is now called the Tenants Services Authority, (the TSA), has issued a formal consultation document on its new proposed regulatory structure. You can see the proposals by following the link below,

Ducane Commercial Services Ltd
History and background
Ducane Commercial Services Ltd (DCS) was incorporated in January 2005, it is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Association. The purpose was to use the skills of the Association's staff to carry out business activities, with any profits gift aided back to the Association. There are currently two contracts running.
European School of Management has commissioned DCS Ltd to manage its student accommodation of 30 rooms. We also provide managing agent services for a private block of 36 leasehold flats in Acton called Perryn House.
Perryn House Resident's News
The electronic gates have now been installed at Perryn House, we are pending BT to finalise the lines, so we are hoping by the end of May 2010 they will be fully operational.

Parsifal College Student's News
We hold 'surgeries' at the College between 1 and 4pm on Tuesdays. Doreen Carter is your Housing Manager and Mary Keegan is your Housing Administrator.
